There are many types of emergencies

Weather emergencies such as bushfires, cyclones and extreme heat events.

Communicable disease emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

Disasters don't impact on a population equally. Individuals with a disability, the aged, and those with chronic illness are more likely to have a poor outcome in an emergency. If displaced from their home for example, a return may take longer.

Individuals, families and organisations - particularly those that are or include people who are more vulnerable to an emergency can take planning steps to improve their safety.

At Planning Safe we support organisations, families and individuals to do this.
